Kondo Honten

I got my favorite Mentaiko mochi cheese monja.The large roasted mentaiko was smashed generously into cream.After baking, the mochi, cheese, and mentaiko were intertwined, salty, and the beer advanced.In addition, I received Kondo Special Monja, Kondo Special Okonomiyaki and Butter Geso Grill, but they always tasted better than expected.From around 19:30 on Saturday, I entered the store for about 20 minutes and enjoyed the meal until the last order at 21:30.It is recommended to visit around 4 people because you can eat various menus little by little.

A long-established monja in Tsukishima. After the war, it seems that the monja was baked in a corner of a candy store. So there is also a milk rice cracker 50 yen on the menu!Order the following! Authentic monjayaki in Tsukishima. Friendly staff will help you to make the pancake if you worry that you will screw up making it your own. Can add toppings you like to any of the pancakes on the menu

Monjayaki was a great experience and Kondo makes it better. We were tourist struggling with the Japanese language but the waiters there were very patient with us. They showed us how to make monjayaki and gave pointers when we didn't get it right. We had an awesome time here. Kondo Honten is not difficult to find and it's bustling with fun-loving locals. Make Monjayaki your Tokyo must-have!

A great place to try monja for the first time. This restaurant is on a street that is full of other restaurants offering monja, but this restaurant has gotta be one of the better ones where locals also come by and are really lively. If it's your first time having monja you can have the staff cook for you first and then choose to cook by yourself later if you are confident.

One of my Tokyo trip highlights would be this, Monjayaki! This is so good 🤤 we ordered the monja- mochi cheese mentaiko (¥1,500), butter grill - squid legs (¥850) and dessert - anko maki which is the crepe with red bean paste (¥500) and several pints of Sapporo draft beer (¥600 per pint only!). Fear not if you don’t know how to cook/make the monjayaki. The staffs there are very friendly and they can help you to do it (though they can barely understand English). We arrived pretty early at the restaurant, at 5.30pm on Monday and we were their first customer! When we left the restaurant around 6.45pm, the queue was already very Long so be sure to go early to avoid the crowd.

Frist time tried Monja .The test was awesome.Okonomiyaki was also very good,for me best in Tokyo. Friendly service.

Awesome soul food in tokyo

The owner Mrs Kondo and son served traditional monja Yaki, yakisoba and okonomiyaki in a clean and modern environment. Tried the baby star monja and mochi cheese mentaiko monja. All good. If u don’t know how to cook, ask the waitress to cook. Or even better, look at how your next table customer does it. Nostalgic taste yet delicious. They were even featured in the poster for Shinkansen to Tokyo ! Situated in Tsukishima where monja yaki is popular. Definitely a must try experience while in Tokyo.

Metropolitan soul food! Famous among local people and highly rated 2nd best Monjayaki restaurant on a famous restaurant rating site "Tabelog." About 3000 yen for two.
